Rescue Charity – Day 1
June 16, 2023 @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Come out and meet our rescue charity on Day 1 at Booth #16 for a two-day spectacular 2023 Taste of Des Plaines street festival. A place for everyone from families, to friends, Seniors and kids of all ages plus your socialized dogs!! All you need and want spread out front of the Des Plaines Public library for all to see at this FREE event. And what exactly will you find if you decide to join us Friday or Saturday:
HEAD TO BOOTH #16 in the FAMILY AREA near the WORLD STAGE:
- Come out and meet our rescue team and cuddle a few adoptables.
- Let’s discuss fostering and/or volunteering to aid people/pets. Get a head start and fill out a foster or adoption application.
- Airbrush Face painting with Artistic Expressions by Lisa at our booth Friday only, June 16, from 5 pm – 8 pm.
- Adults enter to win a FREE Raffle Basket of Summer Solstice enjoyment and kids enter to win a Summer Fun basket.
- Use your funds to help alter more lives in need by shopping our SWAG: creative tumblers, Charity Antler Chews, rescue t-shirts and more.
- Hourly drawings to win unique betta fish with aquarium set up of rocks and live water flower. Care instructions provided. We can hold your prize till 8:00 pm at our booth.
Taste of Des Plaines Street Festival Activities to pass your time:
FREE PARKING & CASH ONLY FOOD VENDORS: Tickets are available for purchase at two ticket booth locations within the festival, which accept cash only. ATM available at festival. Only tickets are accepted at all food and beverage vendors at the Taste of Des Plaines.

We hope to see you at our Rescue Charity Day 1 BOOTH #16 on Saturday or a mixture of Friday AND Saturday!! The weather will be perfect, so many amazing activities, bring your dogs and head over to hear how YOU can make an impact altering lives in critical ways. Friday, June 16 from 5 – 11 p.m.
Saturday, June 17 from 12 – 11 p.m.
The family area (Common Ground’s Booth) and World Stage close at 8 p.m. both evenings.
