MAXIMUS, Max for short, is seeking his happily ever after. A handsome and soulful cuddle-bug who has waited over 365 days for a chance to find his HOME. We understand Max requires a family to accept that he is a solo dog but we feel his heart is big enough to fill up a home. Please help Max find his one and only family by sharing his adoptable flyer or connecting to discuss a foster-to-adopt partnership. Download Maximus’s flyer for more details & to share.

Shining a light into the dark with YOUR crucial help. Our impact is only as large as the support we receive. Much can be found in a neighborhood near YOU in the form of: volunteers, fosters, adopters and donors that give monetary support to our core C.A.R.E. programs.
Spreading hope into areas where aid is rarely found. Finding the most vulnerable who exist without crucial community resources and accessibility to essential services are minimized. Who do we C.A.R.E. about?
One heartbeat at a time. One mile at a time. We C.A.R.E. about YOU.
A critical response action network whose focus is to show up—when no one else does.
… Stacey and Common Ground are angels that walk amongst us because they see the need, trust their instincts that help is needed and welcomed and then move heaven and earth to see it come to fruition. I am so grateful to know these amazing souls exist….they are the real deal. In rescue world you see fakes and glory seekers…you are disappointed and people often don’t follow through with their promises. This is not how Common Ground operates and to be associated with them is truly amazing. We know Stacey and Common Ground are 120% giving and caring people who have the same common goals as us…the humane treatment of the animals until that light shines on them and they move on to forever homes. Thank you for all you do!!! God puts people in our lives when they are supposed to be and the animals here are so lucky to have Common Ground on their side.
Common Ground was a God send to our little rescue. We serve southeast Missouri. Common Ground drove hours and hours to bring us food, treats, bedding, medical supplies…things we desperately needed. What a huge relief to fill our truck with food and know we didn’t have to worry about food for the babies. Looking at all the supplies and knowing someone out there cares just as much as we do about these poor animals was a life changer in so many ways. It’s easy to get discouraged when help isn’t to be found. Common Ground didn’t just help us out with necessities. They gave us a hand up with inspiration to sustain the fight here for animals. That meant the world to us.
With the help of donations that Common Ground collected and shared with our rescue, we were able to save funds that would normally go into supplies, and use them for medical treatment of the animals in our program. Heartworm treatments, spay/neuter surgeries, parasite prevention, and vaccinations can easily cost beyond $1000 a month. These costs quickly deplete the funds brought in by adoption fees that solely support our rescue program so the works of Common Grounds is beyond a blessing for the little guys like us!
Words can’t express the appreciation an help with what Common Ground did. My Shelter hasn’t had any heat and the 2 heaters that were brought down were a life-saver. The blankets were amazing I used them out at the Shelter plus with my foster puppies. The dog treats they loved them. I could go on an on. You guys were Angels. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I can’t thank you guys enough for the much needed supplies you provided us. Here were wondering how were going to get the supplies to take care of our animals during the rough winter months, and you guys answered our needs. My dogs and myself can’t thank you enough.
Common Grounds is very special. Love the ppl doing it. Common Grounds has helped South Fulton pound a lot with dog food, blankets, heated water bowls, new food bowls. I couldn’t ask for any better ppl. Thanks y’all.
Since i began volunteering at our local dog pound 10 months ago and began my journey with Common Ground just 9 short months ago, we have saved 140 pups/dogs and 63 cats/kittens. Through CG donations we have received comfy, raised beds, awesome food bowls, blessed toys and treats galore, blankets for snuggling and food for full tummies as well as other necessities and heat we cant forget the heat!! Temporary heat sources until our permanent unit gets connected in 2 day. We also helped 5 individuals who taken in more than their share to care for with food for the fur babies and 3 cat colonies have been assisted with food and a few of those kitties had gotten rescue. Im so proud of all we have accomplished at our tiny 9 kennel pound and it couldn’t have achieved without the help of CG nit just the amazing donations but the advice and counseling and friendships that have been made. Thanks just doesn’t seem to be enough for all that has been given. [2018]
Thank you Common Ground for all that you do for the rescue community. You have supplied us with food, beds, blankets, bowls, toys, treats, medical supplies, cleaning supplies, collars, leashes, and the list goes on and on. You have taken the burden for the cost of these things off of us, allowing the funds we would have used to now go towards literally saving more lives. Thanks to the help we received from Common Ground, we were able to rescue nearly 1000 lives this year. Thank you for helping to make that possible. Together we really are making a difference.
This girl safe in her “kitty” bed lol because of you.
You are all amazing, loving, caring, big-hearted angels on Earth! ❤️. I am so grateful to have gotten to know you and be involved with donations, packing, loading & unloading, etc. I have met many wonderful people in Common Ground. I am here when ever you need me. Just a text away.
I am proud to support Stacey Scorzo Edge and Common Ground Rescue through donations that I know are saving lives that would otherwise perish. The dedication of this group is evident with every post and Stacey’s heart is always in the right place!
I am so proud to be a part of this effort. Helping the shelters that are surviving on a shoestring. Every donation of time, money, or supples is appreciated beyond measure. Warmth where theres no heat, full bellies where theres no food, medication, toys, a soft blanket, cleaning supplies, bleach to keep things sanitary, nothing wasted everyone grateful for the smallest effort and donation.
I am so thankful for the great work of Common Ground Community Rescue Network. These fantastic humans have made the long trip out to us a few times with much needed supplies. In our area, we are rural and limited resources. Many areas and entire counties without Animal Controls, rescues, or veterinarian services. It is a great treat to hear Common Ground is coming with beds, blankets, foods, treats, and supplies that are just unheard of in this region. All of us with Howlin 4 Hope in Southern Illinois are grateful to be able to bring help to the most depressed areas in extreme Southern Illinois and to have the help and support from Common Ground when we need it. Bless you!
A fabulous organization led by a beautiful soul! Stacey and her friends bring greatly needed food, supplies, transport and much to animal rescue and areas in need. I’ve personally seen Stacey hard at work in the hot, Southern sun. Hours away from home working diligently. Keep up the great work and let me know when I can lend a hand in Tennessee again.
Caring and sharing to those in need.
Common Ground shines a light on so many souls that are in desperate need. One of those souls was a HW+ hunk o’ love named Rocky. He caught our eye and we committed to fostering him. Common Ground matched us with a wonderful rescue and Rocky came up to us. I cannot even begin to tell you the immense support CGCRN continued to give to us as we fostered Rocky. I also cannot adequately explain how absolutely magnificent Rocky is; so magnificent that we foster failed him! He completes our pack! Our eternal gratitude to CGCRN, as well as our eternal support for an organization that gives from the heart by not only facilitating rescue for these precious lives, but also facilitating much needed supplies to rural pounds, shelters, and rescues in need. If I could, I would rate them higher than 5 stars.
CGCRN is made up of extraordinary people who come together to shine a light on forgotten animals. This groups of angels works tirelessly to ensure every one of them can have a voice. I have been blessed to cross paths with all these wonderful hearts that continue to go above and beyond. I cannot say enough good things about this group and thankful they are out there. #onebyoneuntiltherearenone
Absolutely many life’s have been saved due to so many wonderful people networking.
Without a doubt, Common Ground helps animals every step of the way—in the shelters, on the road to rescue, and with foster homes as pets await their families to find them. Common Ground is also wonderful for those of us who want to get involved and help but don’t know exactly what to do, or who to get in touch with. This group will embrace you and guide you to helping transport and foster cats and kittens, etc.
Common Ground has done immeasurable life-saving work for countless number of animals, struggling southern shelters, and even people! The tireless volunteers devote themselves to gathering, sorting and loading trucks with donations. They travel southward to places that need them most, and bring animals back North for rescue. The thing I admire most is that they’re always trying to expand their light, to help more in need, in every and any way they possibly can.
Very helpful with advice and networking. And will do anything to help those in need.
We cannot thank you enough for the kindness you all have showered over our local animals. It is so refreshing to know there are such good people out there in this world. Thank you for working with us, mentoring and encouraging us all.
Though we didn’t bring the pup we first thought we would, we did bring home our Pixie Deer to foster. And then we foster failed. And now we have this wonderful addition to our home. There were a couple times Stacey reached out to us to foster. But we just weren’t ready. Then our sweet Schanuzer Darla suddenly passed away and we felt it was time. As diva as she was, she would want us to help another pup the way we helped her.
I see with each post the difference this group makes. They think outside the box and use creative, common sense solutions to save lives of the forgotten ones. Please support this amazing group of life changers.
This is an amazing real grassroots organization that reaches into all the dark places to bring light, love and help!
