What started as a simple volunteer mission to positively impact communities close and far has launched this prolific 501(c)(3) mission of the heart. A small team diligently working each day to grow hope into areas where struggles are heavy and help no where to be found. Enter Common Ground’s core unit ready to bestow some light during dark times. Now officially granted the charity status that allows more work to be done in ways that could not be achieved previously.
Insert a small but mighty team, expanding the heartbeat of community until it redefines the boundaries to include all whether giving or receiving. Raw stats that speak of a true dedication: 225,000+ lbs. of donations distributed into domestic and international communities, 776+ actual road hours driven across 32,409+ road miles traveled, 42+ communities impacted across nine states. 79+ Animal Shelters/Pounds/Sanctuary’s/Wildlife organizations supported with food, medical or critical needs. Saved and coordinated transport for 890+ animals in conjunction with licensed animal rescue groups. 76+ community drives and animal rescue transports organized across the Midwest and beyond. Community sharing in local pet food pantries and supportive vet care to those who have fallen on hard times with the goal of keeping families together. A strategic, multi-faceted success that is structured around four main areas of our ‘C.A.R.E. Commitment’ philosophy. We approach everyone with the same intent to be compassionate, action-oriented and hope-driven in all our interactions.
